The massive benefits the U.S. could realize by implementing the ideas in “FREEDOM”

Elimination of the national debt within about 5 years!

The incredible fiscal benefits that could be realized by completely rethinking “the war on drugs” and implementing the ideas proposed in “FREEDOM” are nearly too numerous to list!

No longer having to spend billions on drug interdiction, enforcement, incarceration and legal expenses, not to mention billions (trillions?) of dollars our nation would benefit from in legalizing drugs and marketing them to those who choose them, could easily eliminate our $41 trillion national debt in short order.

Assigning and licensing major pharmaceutical organizations to be responsible for the manufacture of formerly illicit drugs and making them as safe as possible (elimination of fentanyl for example) is purely rational decision making.

The pharmaceutical companies, the federal and local governments, as well as the newly licensed small business owners described below would be benefitting from the sales of these much safer drugs, while simultaneously putting every drug cartel and drug gang out of business. These reasonable and logical proposals would also have massive fiscal and societal benefits for our nation and the world!

Elimination of prison overcrowding!

Under the proposed legislation, all individuals currently incarcerated for non-violent drug crimes would be released and their records would be expunged.

This would free up prison cells for those that society would really benefit from incarcerating such as murderers, rapists, robbers and thieves.

Dramatic improvements in the efficiency of our law enforcement agencies and greatly reduced stress on our police officers nationwide!

Simply watching a few episodes of “COPS” or “On Patrol Live” clearly demonstrates the massive amounts of time, energy, and expense, our law enforcement puts into drug enforcement activities. Under the guidelines suggested in “FREEDOM” law enforcement would be relieved of these responsibilities thus freeing them up to focus on reducing really harmful crimes and interdicting more dangerous criminals.

A vastly improved and more efficient court and criminal justice system!

Our court systems are overwhelmed with adjudication of individuals charged with non-violent drug crimes. Our courts would be freed up under the suggestions in “FREEDOM” thus enabling them to focus on far more important cases.

A massive reduction in the tens of thousands of overdose drug deaths nationwide every year!

Hundreds of thousands of drug users have died largely as a result of fentanyl and other dangerous ingredients added to what are currently illicit drugs. Under the proposed legislation, the pharmaceutical industry would be responsible for the production of these drugs thus insuring they are as safe and reliable as possible and vastly reducing overdose deaths in our nation.

A complete dismantling of TDA and all drug cartels and drug gangs worldwide!

Our current drug policies have made billionaires out of drug cartels and drug gangs, not only in the US, but worldwide. The ideas proposed in “FREEDOM” would essentially bankrupt every cartel and drug gang by eliminating their primary source of income.

Our nation would simultaneously benefit from the massive income that formerly wound up in the hands of criminals. These funds could be utilized to accomplish major societal enhancements including those outlined herein.

A significant reduction in inner city poverty and enhanced opportunities for the fiscally challenged!

The ideas proposed in “FREEDOM” would offer training and small business opportunities to former drug dealers by making them legitimate licensed distributors of the formerly illicit (and now much safer) drugs. This policy would convert individuals, that were former liabilities, into legitimate tax-paying societal assets.

A vast reduction in poverty and inner-city homelessness and unemployment!

Not only would the former drug dealers be offered small business opportunities, but the drug users themselves would be offered their drugs, as well as reasonable compensation, for menial labor such as graffiti removal, trash pickup, and general citywide improvements, thus eliminating the need for minor crimes such as shoplifting or auto theft and other anti-social and illegal behavior to support their habits.

If and when drug users come to the conclusion that the drug use lifestyle is no longer for them, quality rehab facilities, including housing where desired, would be provided free of charge. The newly acquired vast fiscal benefits realized by the implementation of these policies could easily cover the costs of these facilities.

A nationwide return to our nation’s founding principles of individual liberty and personal freedom!

Our Declaration of Independence reads in part; “We are endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights and that among these are Life Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”

It is not, and never has been, the government’s responsibility to decide what an individual chooses as their decision as to how they “pursue happiness!” We may not agree with these choices, but it is each individual’s inalienable right to make that choice, and to perhaps to learn some valuable life lessons in the process.

Implementation of the ideas in FREEDOM, returns these rights to the individual and simultaneously eliminates the utterly failed exercise in futility we refer to as our “war on drugs!”

The “war on drugs” has never, and could never have been a success, as it is antithetical to the very precepts of individual liberty and free choice upon which our nation was founded. Ending this 50 year utterly failed policy, as proposed in “FREEDOM” could have profound positive effects upon our nation!
